SOUTHSIDE LEADERSHIP

The Session
The Session is comprised of thirteen members of the congregation who have been chosen by the congregation to serve a three year term. Together with the pastor, they exercise leadership, government, and discipline, and have responsibilities for the life of the particular church as well as the church at large.
The Deacon Board
The Deacon Board is comprised of twelve members of the congregation who have been chosen by the congregation to serve a three year term. It is the responsibility of the Deacons to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who many be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith.
