Sunday Mornings At Southside

We love worshipping God as a family of faith every Sunday morning at 9:30am and the participation of everyone from our very youngest who delight us with their wiggles and giggles to the oldest amongst us who enrich us with their wisdom -- worship is better when we are together.

And so, on Sunday mornings we begin together as a community of faith in our main worship space, the Kiva. After the Time for Children, the children 5 and over are dismissed to Sunday School and our younger friends head to the Nursery. Sunday School kids rejoin us for the end of our worship service and the nursery aged kids can be picked up in the nursery at the conclusion of the service.

Sunday School Curriculum

Southside uses curriculum through illustrated ministry. Each lesson is reviewed
and crafted with consideration of relevant themes and current matters to promote
a student-centered environment that promotes Southside’s values.

Illustrated Ministry creates accessible faith-based resources for the church and home.
The thoughtful and easy-to-use materials are designed to foster authentic faith
engagement with our refreshing designs, creative activities, and intergenerational focus.
“We celebrate the expansive image of God in everyone, through open and inclusive
language, diverse imagery, and progressive theology.”
Congregations around the world, and across the theological spectrum, enjoy and use
their resources. Aware of their diverse customer base, they have promoted community
values of our work for a variety of reasons:
 Progressive theology
 Diversity in content and illustrations
 Inclusive language
 Intergenerational focus
